ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Whether you're an entrepreneur, community leader, or someone with a dream, this conference was created for YOU.

The SociaLIGHT brand aims to redefine what it means to be a "socialite." Socia"LIGHT" is also an acronym that stands for: L.eader I.mpacting G.lobal H.umanity T.oday.

The SociaLIGHT Conference will bring together over 1000 other dynamic leaders, young professionals, and entrepreneurs just like you for an incredible day of inspiration, empowerment and connection.

We carefully curate world class speakers, innovators and leaders to support your on-going success.

Some highlights from SociaLIGHT 2011 include:

Video Address from Sir Richard Branson, surprise interview with Seth Godin and Bob Proctor

Robin Sharma - Personal Leadership Expert & New York Times #1 Bestselling Author of "The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari" and "The Leader Who Had No Title" www.robinsharma.com

Bruce Poon Tip – Founder of G-Adventures (formerly Gap Adventures) http://www.gadventures.com/

Tonya Surman - Executive Director of the Centre for Social Innovation

Kunal Gupta - CEO of Polar Mobile & Founder of IMPACT Entrepreneurship Group

.... AND MANY MORE SPEAKERS TO COME! Sign up for the SociaLIGHT Newsletter and be the first to find out complete speaker line - up and official after party details.

Over 30 top business and social organizations and groups are strategic affiliates of the SociaLIGHT Conference and while many organizations exist already to support entrepreneurship, the entrepreneur community in Canada remains largely fragmented.

Our belief is that by bringing together young leaders & entrepreneurs (as well as the organizations which support them) - together at one event - we could create a platform where these groups could connect with one another in a meaningful way that would be both personally and professionally beneficial.

The SociaLIGHT Conference is also a conscious full spectrum initiative that encourages shifting from "profit only" business models to entrepreneurship that embodies the triple bottom line of: "People. Planet. Profit."

We also aim to be an event that: (1) moves from being the typical status quo passive conference to one that makes positive measurable social impact and (2) encourages principled action.

When you buy a ticket know that you are part of supporting sustainable solutions and growth of both local and international entrepreneurs as a portion of our proceeds will be going to 1 local entrepreneur and an entrepreneur initiative in South America through the Planeterra Foundation's Small Business Development Fund.

Make sure to sign up for our newsletter and get on the SociaLIGHT Hotlist so you can be the first on the waitinglist to buy tickets before they are sold out!

We encourage you to attend the SociaLIGHT Conference and we look forward to a valuable and successful 2012 event!

To your continued success,

The SociaLIGHT Conference Team & Theresa Laurico, Founder, SociaLIGHT
